Rest & Reflect: Ten Journaling Prompts for the Artist

For as long as I can remember, I have used journaling as a way to reflect on my creative journey, the things I want in a creative life, and writing out goals for my artist self. Not only has it allowed me to get all of the thoughts from my head to the page, but it has also allowed me to reflect on the things I want and create action plans to live a more creative life. With that said, I wanted to share my top ten creative journaling prompts that I have used to help me gain clarity and feel more control in my creative journey.

The writing is—I’m free from pain. It’s where nobody tells me what to do; it’s where my imagination is fecund and I am really at my best. Nothing matters more in the world or in my body or anywhere when I’m writing.
