Founded in 2016, Black Hippie Art is an art platform dedicated to empowering artists of color through the sharing of resources, fostering creative expression, and promoting overall well-being.

Black Hippie Art exists to make creative practice accessible to BIPOC communities. Through programming, community exhibits, editorial coverage of BIPOC artists, and curated access to grants and opportunities, we foster the conditions our communities need to make, show, and advance through art. Creative practice is self-care. Everyone deserves both.

Our Vision

We envision a world where art and self care are synonymous. Where people of color claim their creativity fully, take themselves as seriously as they please, and never have to choose between art and survival.

The Black Hippie Art community wants to help you get to the place you always dreamed of being. This is your moment. Be sure to join the tribe!
