What was beautiful about this exhibition was the many manifestations and interpretations around fade or fading. Some imagery showcases the fading of traditions, family members or people in their lives while others had literal fading aspects in their work visually through materials.

Most importantly, it actually made you want to buy the work. That is why it was so important to highlight the BIPOC voices of the fair, so anyone who comes across this review can learn, follow and hopefully buy art from these BIPOC artists and art spaces. 

That was the case when I came across Ryan Scail's artwork. A multidisciplinary artist based in Bridgeport, CT, Scail's creates these larger-than-life soft sculptures from fabric scraps, found objects and other materials that speaks volumes even within the simplicity of his work.

The exhibition, much like the fibers it represents, highlights strength and adaptability in how we present ourselves to the world. It emphasizes that with proper care for the memories we create, these experiences can endure for a lifetime.
