Call to Artists: Kolaj Institute Solo Residencies
The mission of Kolaj Institute is to support artists, curators, and writers who seek to study, document, and disseminate ideas that deepen our understanding of collage as a medium, a genre, a community, and a 21st century movement. We operate a number of initiatives meant to bring together community, investigate critical issues, and raise collage’s standing in the art world.
Kolaj Institute’s solo residencies in New Orleans are designed to provide artists, curators, and writers with dedicated time and space to work on a project.

Prairie Ronde Artist Residency
We’re looking for individuals who are highly independent, engaged and curious. We do not limit our residency to any specific medium, but rather are looking for diverse artists who can creatively interact with The Mill.
We host three sessions annually and accept 2 – 4 residents per session. Accepted residents receive a stipend of $2,000 for 5 – 6 weeks, a $500 travel grant and private housing. We work with residents to share their work with the community (a gallery show, public workshop or other).

Fiber Reimagined IV Call for Entry
This popular exhibition returns for its fourth year. Enter your innovative contemporary art created from fiber and recycled and repurposed mixed media. All submissions must include a fiber material or textile technique. The exhibition will be featured in the summer 2026 issue of Fiber Art Now.
Curated selections from the print exhibition will be eligible for the on-site exhibition at Gravers Lane Gallery, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on view July 23 through September 5, 2026. Artwork eligible for Gravers Lane Gallery must be for sale and remain at the Gallery for the duration of the exhibit. graverslanegallery.com

Phillustration 17 Illustration Exhibition
This is an open, juried show for illustrative works. Traditional mediums are highly encouraged; both traditional and digital illustrations are eligible.
Any work of illustration is welcome, including sequential, editorial, self-published, children’s book, advertising and institutional, self-promotional and unpublished, traditional or digital media.
Student entries are strongly encouraged! Works created using AI are not eligible in any PSC exhibition. All works MUST be framed and wired to hang.

Call for Proposals: Residencies and Fellowships — Caribbean Culture Fund
The CCF invites organizations and institutions to submit their cultural and creative projects. Selection will be based on respect for the values and criteria defined below, the alignment with the requirements, the quality and feasibility of proposals, and on the proven abilities of project leaders.
We invite applicants to write their projects simply and clearly, paying particular attention to the relationship between objectives and budget, and to consider implementation constraints. CCF will award ten grants of USD 5,000 to support short-term, intra-Caribbean residencies and fellowships.

National Dance Project Production Grant
National Dance Project Production Grant is made to projects led by professional choreographers or companies to support the creation and US touring and/or sharing of a new dance project.

Rittenhouse Square Fine Art Show - 22nd Annual
The 22nd Annual September show runs September 18-20, 2026, with 145 available artist spaces. The venue is the perimeter of Rittenhouse Square, a prestigious park setting in Center City Philadelphia. Surrounded by some of the most luxurious residential addresses in the city, the show consistently attracts an affluent, culturally educated clientele. This competitive show is limited to 145 exhibitors chosen by a jury of highly qualified fine artists and guest jurors based on quality, uniqueness, consistency, and professionalism of artwork. The application fee is $45.00

Japanese American National Museum (JANM) – Irene Yamamoto Arts Writers Fellowship
Emerging art critics of color: The Yamamoto Fellowship offers $5,000 unrestricted awards to two writers of color who write critically about visual art and have less than two years of experience. Virtual Info Session March 5, 2026.

Natural Curiosity Artist in Residency
Join Natural Curiosity at their Hermosa Field Station in the Gila National Forest in New Mexico for a summer of nature and art. The Native Arts and Cultures Foundation’s (NACF) LIFT – Early Career Support for Native Artists program supports emerging Native artists through one-year awards to develop and realize new projects. These awards are a crucial investment in cultivating fresh voices and envisioning the future of our respective Native practices.

WINTER $1,800.00 Innovate Grants for Art + Photo
Innovate Grant awards (2) $1,800.00 grants each quarter, to one Visual Artist and one Photographer. In addition, (12) honorable mentions (6 in art and 6 in photo), will be featured on the website and join a growing community of vibrant and talented artists. Innovate Grant’s commitment extends beyond the grant cycle by promoting the work of selected winners and honorable mentions into the future.

We are looking for essays, column ideas, and visual work. We love fiction and poetry but are probably not going to publish it if you send it. All accepted submissions will receive an honorarium. $150 for written work and $50 for visual work.

Writers x Literature Translation
Art Omi: Writers is seeking proposals from Korean-language translators for a funded three-week residency in fall 2026 in partnership with the Literature Translation Institute of Korea. This opportunity is expressly for those who are translating Korean literature into English, and will take place during the Fall 1 Session, Thursday, September 24–Thursday, October 15, 2026. Exact details regarding the stipend and travel support will be available when the selected candidate is notified in spring 2026.

Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts & Sciences, New Jersey – Works on Paper
Artists based in the continental US who practice drawing, painting on paper, prints, photography, digital works on paper, and 2D paper constructions can apply to this competition and exhibition juried by Joanna Sheers Seidenstein, Curator in the Department of Drawings and Prints at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The application fee is $35 for up to three entries.

The 2026 Modern Ancient Brown Foundation Residency + Fellowship
We invite early career artists, curators, scholars, and writers to apply to the 2026–2027 Core Programs at the Modern Ancient Brown Foundation.
The Core Program consists of:
Artist Residencies for artists with an active studio practice, and Visiting Fellowships for writers, curators and scholars.
The Modern Ancient Brown Foundation’s Core Program is designed for makers and scholars from within and outside the academy, whose practices involve research and creation across the arts, specifically performance, art writing, critical studies, curating, film, music, and creative writing.

Women@MIT Fellowship
This fellowship from MIT Libraries’ Department of Distinctive Collections (DDC) provides funding for artists, activists, musicians, writers, and scholars who are engaged in the expansion and expression of knowledge, especially as applied to informing the understanding of women in MIT’s history and the history of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The program is particularly well-suited to those interested in applying tenets of women’s studies, gender studies, and/or race and ethnic studies to their work. Each Women@MIT Fellowship project will receive a $5,000 stipend.

WORTHLESSSTUDIOS’ Artist Residency Program (WARP)(New York City)
WARP provides state-of-the-art fabrication resources, space, generous funding, and industry-leading project management support to artists as they create ambitious, large-scale sculpture. The residency runs five to seven weeks and includes a $5,000 artist stipend, a private studio, and a $45,000 fabrication budget.

Vermont Studio Center – 2027 Artist & Writer Residencies
A Vermont Studio Center (VSC) residency provides the time and space to deepen creative practice. Nestled in the Green Mountains, VSC’s walkable campus provides private studios, a dining hall, and private rooms along the banks of the Gihon River. The application fee is $25.

2026-27 Franklin Furnace for Performance Art FUND
Initiated in 1985 with the support of Jerome Foundation, Franklin Furnace annually awards grants to early career artists selected by peer panel review to enable them to produce major performance art works in New York City. Artists may apply once per year as an individual, and once per year as part of a collaboration. FUND grants range between $2,000 and $10,000 based on the peer review panel allocation of funding received by Franklin Furnace.

The 50th Annual Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show, a juried exhibition and retail sale, will be held in-person at the Pennsylvania Convention Center from November 6-8, 2026, with a Preview Party on Thursday, November 5. Move-in day is Wednesday, November 4. The jury will accept 195 craft artists. This Show of Art by Hand serves as the Museum's largest yearly fundraising event and is devoted to bringing wide public attention to the field of craft art. Cumulative 49-year contribution: $15.3 million. Funds raised are used to purchase works of art and craft for the permanent collections of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, to support exhibitions and education programs and to contribute to conservation and publication projects.

Creative Capital Awards
Creative Capital provides individual artists with unrestricted project grants between $15,000 and $50,000 to create new works in the visual arts, performing arts, film, and literature.

Anonymous Was a Woman Environmental Art Grants
This program provides grants of up to $20,000 to environmental art projects led by women, transgender, and gender-nonconforming artists in the United States and U.S. Territories.

The Clay Studio Resident Program
The Clay Studio Resident Artist Program offers individuals the opportunity to further develop their work, to establish professional contacts and standards, and to work within a community of like-minded individuals in an urban environment for up to three years. The program is designed for artists who are early in their careers to develop the skills to make their lives as artists. Each cohort intentionally reflects a range of experiences and diverse aesthetic approaches, cultures and perspectives. The Clay Studio Resident Artist Program assists artists to become successful members of the Philadelphia art community, while making national and international connections.

Textile Society of America Research Travel Grants
The TSA Textile Research Travel Grant supports TSA members traveling to conduct textile-focused research. This may include visiting museum collections, engaging with artists or weavers in their local environments, studying special exhibitions, or other research opportunities centered on the study of actual textiles. Applicants may request $500 to $1,000, depending on the scope of travel.

Cannonball is Philly’s home for independent artists. If your work doesn’t fit elsewhere, it probably belongs here. The Cannonball model relies on artists who bring full length (45-60 minute) works that can load-in/out of the performance space in 15 minutes. For those of you with shorter or longer works, we may be able to accommodate you!

3pts Artists & Makers Impact Fund
The 3pts Artists & Makers Impact Fund is a $3,500 award supporting U.S.-based artists and makers who create tangible objects or goods and are working to sustain and grow a business. Funding may be used for materials, equipment, workspace costs, professional development, production expenses, or other needs that strengthen an artist or maker’s practice.

Perelman Performing Arts Center x Civis Foundation – The Democracy Cycle 2026
Artists creating new work in theater, dance, music, opera, and multi-disciplinary performance can apply for this commissioning program, which provides $60,000 in support to each awarded project.

South Arts – Artist Creative Practice Grants
Artists in the Southeastern United States can apply for up to $3,000 in grant funding to support them as they pursue a variety of professional development opportunities that end on or before June 30, 2026.

Open Call for Art: Take Care (of Us)
As artists, we imagine what could be different, sometimes what could be better. This exhibition invites engagement with that impulse while confronting the tensions that arise when our imaginings meet flawed reality. Take Care (of Us) explores how we shape (and are shaped by) ecosystems, environments, and one another, even as we remain vulnerable to forces beyond our control.
Artists working in all visual media are invited to apply to this year’s Open Call, guest juried by Natasha Zeta, CFEVA Visual Artist Fellowship Alum. Please find the submission form below. Accepted Submissions will be notified in early May for a July drop off date to Philadelphia, PA, 19104. The exhibition will be on view from July-September 2026.

The guide is part of the Joan Mitchell Foundation’s Creating a Living Legacy (CALL) initiative, which for nearly 15 years has supported artists in their efforts to catalogue, manage, and preserve their life’s work.

Utility Works Call for Art Rolling Submissions
We are thrilled to announce that the Kiosk Gallery, operated by the LEDC, is now inviting applications for art-based exhibitions and creative pop-ups! We are searching for gifted local artists and entrepreneurs to display their work in our Kiosk Gallery on Baltimore Avenue in Lansdowne, PA. For art exhibitions, we are seeking proposals for solo or small group shows. POLLOCK-KRASNER FOUNDATION GRANT
Pollock-Krasner grants have enabled artists to create new work, purchase needed materials, and pay for studio rent, as well as their expenses. Past recipients of Pollock-Krasner grants acknowledge their critical impact in allowing concentrated time for studio work and in preparing for exhibitions and other professional opportunities, such as accepting a residency.
